This is my take on a modern version of traditional folk music. I wrote this inspired by a short short-story I wrote in my head about a young man meeting a rodeo outlaw whom he saw kill another man when he was a young boy. The young man has thought about that moment his whole life and now he finds himself face to face talking with the killer, Wild Bill.
lyrics
I met Wild Bill and he said to me
Son I met a lot of young men
But you’re not one of them
He met up with me
Down by the lake
I had a lot of things I wanted to say
But I held them all in
Wild Bill didn’t care to hear them
I saw him kill a man
When I was a kid
